The 2022 Jazz Con Class Radio Fundraiser is here and will remain with us until the last day of the year (when it officially ends) OR unless the goal is met beforehand (anytime before 12/31/2022) This year I named it the “Power To The People” Fundraiser as an appreciation to all the listeners that have donated to past fundraisers throughout the years. If it wasn’t for their stellar support, Jazz Con Class Radio would certainly not be entering it’s 11th year stronger than ever! They are the main reason why I used the title of Joe Henderson’s 1969 “Power To The People.” as the title for the fundraiser. These Jazz Aficionado fundraiser supporters are the perfect example of what the term itself stands for and further supports the most accurate interpretation of the word “Power” in the particular phrase itself. The meaning here is “Force” and how the word “Power” is used in the phrase. Yes, it’s been this ENDLESS support of this “Force” that has kept this basically independent internet Jazz radio station alive and kicking for so long. As for me, you probably already know that I will keep pushing forward and working hard in order to keep this “Magnificent” form of musical expression alive forever. We know that without Jazz the world would be finished, there wouldn’t be anything to live for! Yes it would be that boring, there would be nobody “Cool” around to talk to. JAZZ rules and cures EVERY problem and we MUST KEEP IT ALIVE! After all is said, WE ALL know this is why Jazz Con Class Radio really exists! WE also know that disturbing the broadcast with an interrupting barrage of advertisements that only distract and diminish the unmatched quality of the best musicians that ever walked this planet!
