The 2021 Fundraiser is here and will remain until the last day of the year or until the goal is met. This year I named it “Free From All” for several reasons and they are pretty obvious, I’m sorry to say. Just for starters, we need freedom from this pandemic that has stymied our lives for a complete year and still effecting it. We also have a legitimate radio station with a good foundation here that will be entering its 10th year without ever advertising any commercials. This has been a financial burden for me and another reason why the contributions from the listeners are necessary, they certainly help to alleviate the impact. Lastly and the most obvious reason for this fundraiser is the continuing support of a truly inspirational form of communication called JAZZ. Let’s KEEP IT ALIVE it’s our duty for the GOODNESS of MANKIND! Just as last year, I thought it would be appropriate to acknowledge the Jazz Con Class Radio listener’s outstanding knowledge of Jazz, as I chose a similar title of the fundraiser as the one Art Blakey and the Jazz Messenger’s used on their 1964 recording “Free For All.” Its very obvious, as you can see Art Blakey himself, in fine form and exactly as in his very iconic the album cover. This fundraiser still continues with the same rationale as the previous ones did, as they all deal with the very important issue that has to been dealt to us and in many forms. It’s about INDEPENDENCE and that, of course, goes hand to hand with FREEDOM. This station will be reaching its 10th year and it is still kicking, but ow could that be? Well, it’s very obvious, it has the BEST supporters any radio station owner could EVER hope for! JAZZ cures EVERY problem and we MUST KEEP IT ALIVE! After all is said, WE ALL know this is why Jazz Con Class Radio really exists!
